Switch-Mode Power Supplies generally are controlled by a pulse width modulation. In the project, method of controlling SMPS is done by using both pulse width and pulse frequency modulation. This makes SMPS works against to very wide range of load without transition to dis-continuous conduction mode operation. For that reason, efficient operation range of SMPS is increased.
