I am a 2013 Longwood University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a concentration in Communications. I perform volunteer work with the Alzheimer's Association, Meherrin SPCA, Making Strides Breast Cancer Association, and the Sigma Kappa Foundation.

My career focus is to find a job that will allow growth, both in terms of knowledge and responsibility. Ideally, I would like to use my current skillset and experience and enhance my knowledge base. With my experience as a Compliance Specialist, I have been responsible to ensure that our facility adheres to all applicable regulatory codes as it moves to consolidate operations with Central State Hospital. With my experience as a Compliance Specialist, I have been responsible to create a systematic cataloging/accounting of all tangible assets. The organization and regulation that I bring to this asset accounting can apply to many different fields of industry. I have many different responsibilities at Robinson Engineering, Inc., my primary responsibility is to help projects run smoothly and efficiently. I am responsible for keeping up with social media and the company website. I also calculate profitability from various projects.

I am responsible for:
• Establishing and sharing timelines for projects with all involved parties, as well as breaking down the project into a categories and deadlines based on area of work (engineering/shop/installation), while monitoring the progress
• Keeping an overview of project calendars posted to provide a quick visual reference of projects and project status, as well as an electronic calendar accessible to all involved
• Calculating project profitability by reconciling final hours/cost budgeted with actual hours/cost
• Updating the Quality Management System (QMS) as policies dictate, and creating a hard copy of the QMS.

Regulatory Compliance Specialist

My primary responsibilities at SVTC are preparing the facility for its closure and merger with Central State Hospital. I worked with the procurement team, and have a working knowledge of the government policies about buying and selling property and surplus inventory.

I am responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining a database of all inventories of generators, boilers, and other emission generating equipment as well as other equipment
  • Permit writing and editing for the facility
  • Keeping all permits up to date for the DEQ and EPA in order for SVTC to remain in compliance.
  • Maintaining detailed records of inventory
  • Creating databases to facilitate the sales of surplus equipment.

Prince Edward Community Library

Project Intern

While interning at the Prince Edward County Library I was responsible for creating and editing lists of award winning books and creating a database for the County’s procurement team.

My duties included:

  • Researching and compiling a list of the most notable children and young adult literature awards. (Alex Awards, Randolph Caldecott Medal, John Newberry Medal, and the Coretta Scott King Book Awards).
  • Verifying to see if the particular book was in the County Library’s database.
  • Confirming that the books were physically on the shelves at the Library
  • Compiling a buying list for the County Library System.
