Emmanuel Gonsalves believes that a great leader should have vision, passion, commitment, drive, and the skill to inspire others. Following this leadership philosophy, Emmanuel Gonsalves has led a successful 25-year career in management and business strategy, resulting in the increased operational efficiency of several major institutions. Most recently, his leadership earned him the position of vice president for finance and strategy at Bethune-Cookman University, where he managed $375 million in funds.
Mr. Gonsalves exhibited his leadership philosophy at another higher education institution as the president of the College of Science, Technology, and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT). Through strategic planning, he helped COSTAATT become the first institution to gain accreditation with the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago. Additionally, he changed COSTAATT from a community college offering two-year associates degrees to a comprehensive four-year college offering over 42 bachelors degrees.
Emmanuel Gonsalves holds a BS and an MS from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, an MBA in finance and strategic planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a JD from Fordham University School of Law.
