Front of House/Waitress
I was part of the morning team and would sign the customers into the restaurant, greeting customers with a warm welcome and friendly smile. Duties included setting up the continental buffet and hot buffet for large groups on tours and residents of the hotel. It was a fast paced environment due to serving high volumes of people. Receiving room service orders, delivering them to their rooms and taking cash and card payments. Which I would them process on an electronic till as well as taking payments for food at lunch. I was also responsible for cleaning, tidying and maintaining the restaurant for the night staff. These cleaning roles were to be carried out to set standards and guidelines as we were working with food having to meet health and safety regulations.
