WALK IT OUT for Multiple Sclerosis

Successfully created, organized and managed the first Chico State fundraising walk for multiple sclerosis. Led a 10-person staff in coordinating more than 400 volunteers and walkers for the event. Additional responsibilities included recruiting sponsors, entertainment and vendors, and designing all the promotional materials.

The Orion

Conducted interviews and composed more than 30 articles for the features and entertainment sections of The Orion, Chico State’s award-winning student-run newspaper in circulation of 7,000 copies weekly. Gave me the chance to experience both the news editorial and public relations side of journalism, which gives me a well balanced knowledge of the industry.

Being a recent college graduate I frequently use social media on a daily basis to keep in touch with friends, network, research, share news and generally keep myself connected and current with the rest of the world.
