Emblez Longoria has more than 20 years of experience in security and investigations. Since 2004, Mr. Longoria has served as a Senior Security Consultant with Verizon Communications Inc., a position in which he assists with investigations and security assessments for company leadership and manages sensitive cases.
Emblez Longoria graduated from Rosemont College summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Management in 2003. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Management and will complete his studies in December 2011. With a broad skill set, Mr. Longoria is extremely knowledgeable in crime displacement, loss prevention, and safety and awareness issues, as well as facility security, emergency management, and resource management and recovery.
In addition to his work with Verizon, Emblez Longoria was part of the Crime and Loss Prevention Council of ASIS International, based in Alexandria, Virginia, from 2002 to 2008. In addition to his role as a council member, he held positions as Chairman and Vice Chairman. Mr. Longoria oversaw the Council's annual convention activities and appointed committee leaders. He also developed the Council's business plans and led a variety of security initiatives. Mr. Longoria also served on ASIS International’s Professional Certification Board from 2008 to 2010.
In 1988, Emblez Longoria enlisted as a Trooper with the New Jersey State Police. He earned an appointment to Squad Leader with only seven years of experience, supervising eight other officers. During his tenure, Mr. Longoria managed a variety of complex cases and became an advanced crash scene investigator. He was also involved in undercover and electronic surveillance assignments. In 2003, he retired as a Senior Trooper assigned to Princeton Headquarters.
In his free time, Emblez Longoria enjoys the outdoors as an avid hiker, hunter, and fisherman. He is a member of ASIS International and the Executive Protection Institute’s Nine Lives Association, and has contributed to The Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries International, Inc., and the Hunger Project. Mr. Longoria also was a rescue and recovery volunteer at Ground Zero on September 11th.
