Ellen Griggs

A resident of Boston, Massachusetts, Ellen Griggs is an experienced financial services leader. During the early stages of her career, she helped lead Bankers Trust Company, Inc., as Vice President of the Investment Management Group and later served as a Senior Vice President and Partner of Strong Capital Management. At Strong Capital Management, Ellen Griggs was recruited by the firm’s president to establish and grow the institutional fixed income business. At the end of her four-year tenure, fixed income assets doubled, totaling $1 billion.

Her most recent position was with NEPC, LLC in Cambridge. She joined the company in 2001 as a Senior Investment Consultant. Following six years, Ellen Griggs was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner while simultaneously chairing the Independent Consultants Cooperative. At NEPC, she was responsible for the Public Fund, Endowment/Foundation and High Net Worth business platforms.

Today, Ms. Griggs serves on various boards including the New England Aquarium as well as Kenyon College, from which she graduated with a bachelor of arts. Additionally, Ms. Griggs is a board director for Market Street Trust Company, where she chairs the Compensation Committee and sits on the Nominating and Governance Committee and the Investment Committee.
