Education attorney Elizabeth Rho-Ng has emerged as a leader within her field. As a Shareholder at the San Francisco-based full-service education law firm Dannis Woliver Kelley (DWK), Ms. Rho-Ng chairs the Special Education and Student Issues Practice Group. As such, Ms. Rho-Ng advises her colleagues and clients alike on a broad range of education-based legal matters, including discipline, attendance issues, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibits discrimination against students based on disability. Elizabeth Rho-Ng is active in training and counseling members of educational agencies on myriad special education issues. In 2010, she presented at the California Association of Supervisors of Child Welfare and Attendance (CASCWA) Southern Section Annual Fall Conference. The symposium focused on at-risk students and how their schools and greater communities can best serve them. In addition, Elizabeth Rho-Ng has written articles on topics including special education transportation, the legal requirements of classroom volunteers working with special education students, and the key components pertaining to least-restrictive environment (LRE).
