Over the last year, I worked as a Shows Assistant and sales advisor for Joules, the fashion and lifestyle brand. This involved setting up and working in pop up stores at country fairs and equestrian events around the country. I learned a lot from my eight months with Joules, including: visual merchandising, stock management, loss prevention, product knowledge, advising customers and working in a team.
Over the last two Christmas periods, I have assisted in the preparation of customer orders and shop support for my local farm shop. The busy time calls for organisation and efficiency.
During the summer of 2013, I spent three months in Vermont with Camp America. My role was as a riding instructor with the equestrian team. Despite little previous teaching experience, I was able to adapt quickly, growing in confidence as an instructor and mentor. The job required a lot of hard work, dedication and a commitment to working long hours. Building a close-knit team was essential to ensuring the smooth running of the equestrian schedule.
This has been a passion of mine from a young age. I was captain of my school's equestrian team
I have been a member of my university's rowing team for over two years. Rowing at major events such as Women's Head of the River and BUCS Regatta.
