Eric is so talented and good at what he does, that it would be easy for one to feel intimidated when first meeting him. However, being who he is, he immediately puts you at ease and inspires a confidence and respect that it's only after the meeting that one realizes that he has either set high expectations or helped one mediate/resolve the most challenging tasks. Eric is one of those rare managers who rather than "managing" his team members, fosters in them a sense of ownership, passion, respect, integrity and responsibility. He is a great mentor and advocate for not only his directs, but all colleagues in general, balancing his highly regarded sense of pragmatism, due diligence and fairness with innovation and creativity. Anyone who has the privilege of working with or for Eric will attest to his exceptional PM abilities and deep committment for prudent and strategic process management. Equally, all regard him for fostering in them a love and sense of pride for the value they bring to any project.

As Director of Project Management at Spunlogic, Eric was a direct report of mine. Eric's title at Spunlogic was Project Operations Manager and his job duties were approximately 50% direct client engagement Project Management, and 50% team lead (he had a team of 5 project managers who reported directly to him; his job was to mentor, grow and provide day to day management these PMs). Eric is an outstanding Project Manager who has extensive experience in successfully leading full SDLC engagements. His attention to detail combined with skill in developing client relationships make him a unique and valuable employee. Likewise, Eric has the ability to manage a PM team; his charisma and genuine caring for his team allow him to establish rapport and trust while simultaneously set high expectations for employee performance. Overall, Eric is a top candidate and will provide high value to any organization. He is smart, talented and, and hard working. My recommendation comes with this summary: If I had to hire him again I would, and if my current organization had PM openings I would already be recruiting him.
