I am a recent Architecture graduate based in Toronto, Canada, majoring in Design.Design is the sole foundation of my learning, progress, education and passion. There is a relationship between myself and architecture, an exchange, a give-and-takethat can never be anything else but the reflection of my individuality.Born in the southern city of Fier, I was raised in Albania until decided to migrate to Canadafor a better life. After enrolling in secondary school of David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute, I took the Architectural Drafting class. This initial yet innocent decision has led meto discover the beauty of Architecture and decided to pursue my degree in Architectural Science at Ryerson University.During my final year of Thesis, I undertook the topic of “Architecture in a World of Conflict”where I proposed a common-ground between the two social groups of the “Moors” and “Spaniards”. The architectural manifestation of this conflict was a “Traditional Flamenco Dance Academy”.My methodology is to understand the characteristics of a project and ellaborate design techniques beyond just the written requirements, where I can create an architecturalquality that surpasses initial sensibility.
