Sr. Systems Analyst
·Responsible for system administration of Windows desktop systems supporting multiple hardware platforms.Responsibilities include maintaining system scripts, Active Directory Group Policy objects, user/group administration, security, and configuration.Monitoring and managing of system resources, as well as maintaining the Client Management Infrastructure (Altiris/SMS) and the Symantec Anti-Virus enterprise infrastructure.Configure/resolve application issues, such as email, remote access, and disk storage.Assisting with troubleshooting of network components and coordination of system availability with the IS Operations staff, Business Analysts, and Management.Providing coordination with external vendors for hardware acquisition/leasing and guidance to Systems Analysts on all these activities.
·Providing timely response to encountered problems and develop work flow analysis ability to facilitate problem determination and system integration.Troubleshooting Win2000/XP/Vista system components including desktops, gateways, bridgeheads and applications.Maintaining targeted system performance levels and standards, as well as routinely report performance/monitor daily activity of all critical systems in the Windows desktop environment.Administration of user access (add/change/deletes) and responsible for the integrity of local system databases and applications for data quality.Assist network manager with maintenance of campus network records at electronic, communication, and physical levels and participating in cross training with operations staff.
·Providing all necessary planning, estimate and forecasts to ensure Windows 2000/XP/Vista desktop system availability.Maintains logs of system configurations and updates.Tracks historical data and solicits input from Process Application group leaders in order to develop usage forecasts.Assisting with training of Help Desk staff as needed and participation in joint development of infrastructure and personal objectives, and with individual development needs.
·Major accomplishments include the successful implementation of Altiris CMS in order to accomplish a 10,000 Windows 2000 client migration to Windows XP in a 6 months period.Implementation of Wise Package Studio server, in order to create a global application catalog consisting of about 600 applications.Achieving over 95% compliancy on security patches deployments for OS, as well as production applications.Implementation of hardware/software hard drive encryption for all mobile clients.Development of a virtual environment for image and application packages testing.
