An executive-level businessman, Edward Reicin has embarked on many successful career paths, spanning 50 years. Edward Reicin serves as a Consultant and part-owner of two multi-million dollar firms, MPC Containment Systems, Ltd. and M. Putterman & Company, Inc. MPC Containment manufactures collapsible storage tanks that are used for pollution control and in military applications, while M. Putterman & Company produces and distributes sporting equipment. As the President of both companies, Edward Reicin employed more than 200 professionals and earned $50 million in revenue.
When the corporations were sold to a private equity firm in 2007, Edward Reicin adopted his advisory role to help guide the new owners. Edward Reicin’s work with MPC Containment and M. Putterman & Company is the second of three careers. First, Edward Reicin spent almost 15 years in the legal sector following his graduation from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1959.
Three years after earning his Juris Doctor, Edward Reicin became one of the founders a law firm with three partners; at the 35-lawyer firm of Gordon, Reicin, West, and Rosenbloom, Edward Reicin served as a trial lawyer and a Managing Partner. During his tenure, Edward Reicin was named Lawyer of the Year by the Illinois Secretaries Association. He also served as a volunteer on several advisory committees and founded a free legal clinic at the Near North Family Guidance Center. Away from the business sphere, Edward Reicin follows his third career path as a noted professional opera singer. Edward Reicin has played several bass parts for regional companies that perform well-known operas like Madame Butterfly, Falstaff, and The Magic Flute. Edward Reicin has been performing in operas since 1992, and he has received vocal coaching from a variety of professionals to help further his career. As a supporter of the vocal arts, Edward Reicin also donates his time and money to several opera-related charities throughout Illinois.
