Summary

Edward Dove, DDS, has over 20 years’ experience as a Dentist. Dr. Dove began to specialize in pediatric dentistry in the late 1990s and currently runs Dove Pediatric Dentistry in Bakersfield, California. There, Edward Dove, DDS, attends to the dental needs of children through to adolescence. He also provides care for children with special needs, including cerebral palsy and various autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Dove began his training at the Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In his final year, he augmented his studies by working additional hours at an infectious disease clinic. Subsequent to receiving his DDS, Dr. Dove moved to Southern Israel to practice with a public health clinic. He returned to the United States with his wife and the first of his three children. After several years in a practice that focused on pediatric oral healthcare, Dr. Dove entered a post-doctoral program at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) School of Dental Medicine. During his time in the program, Dr. Dove became deeply involved with the treatment of cleft palates and performed research on pulpotomies, or baby root canals. By the end of his time at NSU/Miami Children’s Hospital, he was Chief Resident. It was also during this period that he participated in a medical mission to Kingston, Jamaica, which piqued his interest in traveling the world participating in similar missions through various world dental organizations. Dr. Dove’s concern for the dental health of children extends beyond his office. His staff makes trips to preschools in the Bakersfield area to teach children about good oral hygiene practices. In his spare time, Edward Dove DDS enjoys keeping healthy with an exercise regimen that includes Bikram Yoga and three or four visits per week to the gym.
