  • Recruited to direct multiple high-profile IT initiatives and to provide business analysis for JPMorgan Chase Asset Management Profitability Reporting.
    • Led teams through design, development, testing, and implementation for series of projects aimed at reducing financial reporting time line from 10 to 8 business days.
    • Created Fusion Web Portal to maintain key reference data dimensions within $400K budget that delivered 25% cycle time improvement.
    • Overhauled profitability data repository by transitioning from Access to secure Hyperion Essbase platform. Devised and executed rigorous, 4-month parallel testing plan as well as intensive end-user training sessions.
    • Collaborated with 2 other project teams to ensure proper migration of data feeds from 3 major new source suppliers.
    • Spearheaded reference data cleanup and process improvement initiatives that strengthened data integrity and reduced operation/support costs. Served as Program Manager for technology project portfolio impacting downstream systems and applications for the Investment Bank Financial Reference Data Group.

Interfaced with key FBI and related agency stakeholders to gather, define, and prepare comprehensive business/functional requirements for next generation biometric identification system leveraging state-of-the-art technology.

Crafted interview methodologies and questionnaires in alignment with Statement of Work (SoW). Documented and presented findings to client leadership.

Project Manager / Business Analyst / Software Developer

  • Developed a JAVA web based portal (SPYDER) to track, report and manage Forward Purchase Agreements for the Finance operations group in the New York office. Totally owned this effort from business development, requirements gathering, budgeting, reverse engineering existing VB application, Sybase database design, Unix K shell development, Web portal design, and development of Sybase stored procedures. Directed one JAVA developer who was working from a remote location. This new system increased operations staff efficiency by 400% reducing a 40 hour per month job to 10 hours per month.
  • Served as technical lead for the Municipal Reinvestment System (MRS) Led in the design, development and implementation of this client server windows based system to track and report on Guaranteed Investment Contracts owned by the Investment Bank. Designed the Sybase data base and wrote stored procedures to capture business rules. Managed a local development team to build, test and implement MRS for users in New York and Delaware. This system allowed operations management to reduce headcount for maintenance of GIC Agreements by 50%.
  • The Proprietary Positioning Business at JPMorgan also adopted this system to track the Investment Agreements in it's portfolio. Implementation of this system for this business resulted in reducing headcount for PPB Investment Agreements by 75%.
  • Led major conversion efforts for the conversion of Fixed Income products, after the merger of JPMorgan and Chase Manhattan banks. This task involved the analysis of file and table layouts, development of UNIX shell scripts to import data and the Sybase stored procedures for loading converted data into existing tables.
  • Tasked to represent the Fixed Income Back Office systems for a major project to combine reporting of Fixed Income, Equities and European trading to create firm wide reporting capabilities. Reported to the head of Fixed Income Technical operations in all aspects of the project. My assessment of the project status, development effort and operational plan was instrumental in the FI operations managers decision to withdrawal from the project and ultimately avoid being caught up in a major business failure and saving Fixed Income operations over 1 million dollars.
  • Identified and marked for correction any potential problems from the calendar advance to the year 2000. FI settlement and accounting systems went into the year 2000 with no major issues and few reported incidents.
  • Programmer Analyst in support of building and maintaining various processes with the STARS fixed income settlement system
  • Developed the MARC system using (Sybase and Unix shell scripts) used by the finance desk to identify and mitigate trading position exposure
