A longtime orthodontist, Edgar Berre, Jr., DDS, enjoys sharing his knowledge with dental students and residents. He currently acts as Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky, where he lectures on orthodontics. Edgar Berre, Jr., DDS, also serves on the attending staff of the University of Cincinnati Hospital Dental Center, where he advises dental residents on the timing of certain procedures. Previously, Dr. Berre spent almost a decade as a Lecturer at the Raymond Walters School of Dental Hygiene. His initial teaching experience occurred nearly 40 years ago at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where he guided pediatric dental residents. In addition, Edgar Berre, Jr., DDS, treats patients at his Cincinnati private practice. He grew up in the community and returned to the area after completing his formal dental education at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Berre attended the Pennsylvania institution to earn his Master of Dental Science and a certificate in orthodontics. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery cum laude from The Ohio State University’s College of Dentistry. Previously, Dr. Berre earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Heidelberg College. A strong student, he was recognized with induction into honor societies as an undergraduate and dental student. A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, he has been named a Top Dentist by Cincinnati Magazine every year since the publication began the rankings. Edgar Berre, Jr., DDS, also holds membership in numerous industry organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Great Lakes Society of Orthodontists, the Ohio Dental Society, the Cincinnati Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists. In his practice, Dr. Berre treats patients using proven methodologies and tools as demonstrated by scientifically valid clinical trials. He exercises great care to avoid treatments with only market or commercial benefits.
