Born in Taipei, Taiwan and educated in the United States, Dr. Eddy Yang, DDS, MD currently operates his own oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) practice in Sugar Land, Texas. In addition to maintaining his private dental offices, Dr. Yang also treats patients at several regional hospitals such as St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital and the Methodist Hospital located in nearby Houston.Dr. Eddy Yang’s areas of clinical specialty include treating head and neck infections and other facial trauma. He also regularly performs facial reconstruction surgeries and handles a large number of general dentoalveolar procedures. Prior to establishing his own practice, Dr. Eddy Yang served a six-year OMFS residency at Houston’s University of Texas Health Science Center. Over the course of this residency, Dr. Yang received valuable training in a wide range of medical disciplines from plastic surgery to intensive care unit management.Dr. Eddy Yang holds an undergraduate Biology degree and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. His Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree was awarded by the University of Texas Health Science Center as part of a combined OMFS residency program. Dr. Yang plays an active role in numerous professional organizations such as the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Dental Association and the Harris County Medical Society. In his limited free time, he likes to hunt for deer and hogs near his Sugar Land, Texas home. Dr. Yang is also a devoted family man with a wife and three children.
