  • Patrolled more than 150 miles of wilderness trails, conducting Leave No Trace  education and trail maintenance / surveys
  • Led volunteer groups in trail maintenance and climate change interpretive  hikes
  • Regularly monitored greenhouse gas emissions and hydrology in alpine meadows in various stages of restoration in order to understand their potential as carbon sinks

  • Facilitated youth-led network of students from across the state in campaign planning, tactics, and issue choosing resulting in high-profile climate change campaign with more than 1,300 petitions collected and 14 media hits
  • Recruited and led record large and diverse volunteer groups through multiple intensive youth leadership and environmental organizing workshops and retreats
  • Coordinated annual grassroots fundraiser, raising 50% more than anticipated for program
  • Developed and facilitated summer internship orientation for 10 non-profit organizations across the state, with 100% retention in program and record local applicants being selected

  • Worked with community, non-profit, and labor partners in statewide coalition to build capacity for collaboration and success in engaging Washington youth on campuses in the 2012 election and beyond. Coalition registered over 14,000 young people across the state.
