My work as a workshop leader for the Capital University Chemistry Department involved leading weekly workshop groups in completing additional assignments to facilitate further learning of the classroom material. I taught both General and Organic chemistry workshops, and I worked with other workshop leaders to set up pre-exam study groups to help students prepare for each mid-term exam.
In working as a teaching assistant for general chemistry labs my responsibilities involved assisting the professor in setting up the necessary chemicals and materials for the weekly labs. During the labs, I aided the students in performing the laboratory experiments by answering their questions and by promoting proper laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
As a student group leader, I had both daily and weekly responsibilities. I worked with other leaders to create weekly lesson plans in order to teach children about subjects that aren't fully covered in a grade school curriculum. My other responsibilities included: guiding the children in physical and academic activities daily, resolving conflicts between children, and working with the other leaders to implement large group activities to entertain the children.
