The Marketing and Advertising Management Concentration covers core concepts of buyer behavior, marketing research, strategy and planning, along with advertising in the modern era.

Exploration: Students who are unsure of their degree plans may request placement into the Individual Studies Program. This track provides students with a broad selection of courses that offer insight into several disciplines and assist in career, transfer, and vocational exploration through the Counseling Office. Students are expected to select a specific degree program of study by the end of 30 semester hours.

Interdisciplinary: Students who want to pursue an individualized course of study that is interdisciplinary or otherwise unique may choose the Individual Studies program. Under the supervision of an academic adviser, students will design a program of study directed toward a specific career/transfer/vocational goal.

The curriculum consists of a 24 month, 20 course, 60 credit program offered in two phases.

Phase One requires the completion of the program courses as well as the identification of a Doctoral Dissertation Project.

Phase Two encompasses an intensive project validation period and results verification under the close supervision of a Faculty Doctoral Team.

DBA students learn how to analyze and conduct research to conceptualize and implement their doctoral dissertation project. Throughout the program, students are engaged in a rigorous, exciting, theoretical, and practical learning experience offered in a specialized curriculum that is uniquely centered in both management science and quality systems. A “Senior Champion” and NGS Dissertation Committee will confirm that each student is making satisfactory progress throughout the dissertation project process.

To fulfill degree requirements, each student will teach a National Graduate School course at either the master’s or baccalaureate levels, submit an article to a refereed journal, and complete a written dissertation that documents a project that produced tangible, measurable results..

Following the successful completion of Dissertation Projects, doctoral candidates are required to orally defend their work before a Doctoral Dissertation Committee.

The Marylhurst Department of Real Estate Studies offers a bachelor of science degree in real estate studies. This unique and challenging degree program, offered in an accelerated online format only, provides you with the depth and breadth of knowledge you need to pursue a career in real estate or a real estate-related field.
