  • Reorganized staff responsibilities and hired new personnel to address inefficiencies in some key areas including financial and budget reporting, membership processing and online communications.
  • Provided leadership and worked collaboratively across departmental lines to host FIU's largest out of town tailgating event in St. Petersburg, Florida with over 1,000 in attendance.
  • Developed alumni chapter strategic plan to expand the Panther Network and increase FIU's visibility outside south Florida (Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Tampa, Orlando).

  • Managed a 1.4 million dollar budget increasing revenues through sponsorships, affinity royalties, ticket sales, and membership by 161% from $557,000 to $1,456,000 over a five year period.
  • Developed strategic goals, objectives, action plans, hired and evaluated professional staff, led weekly meetings and facilitated annual planning sessions for the department.
  • Led successful 2009 Presidential Panther Pride Membership Challenge Campaign of recruiting 2,000 new members in 2 months in close collaboration with the Alumni Association Board of Directors resulting in 2,782 new members or 39% above goal.

  • Organized and hosted UF's first ever Black Alumni Reunion resulting in 250 alumni in attendance and the establishment of an Association of Black Alumni group that's still active to date.

  • Recipient of the Robert G. Forman Fellowship sponsored by the Council of Alumni Association Executives (CAAE); a prestigious honor bestowed to two individuals annually to conduct industry research
