Using the TOGAF methodology, we are in the process of implementing an overall EA for Unisys.We have identified 10 domains within the company and we are focusing on those domains and the underlying governance, roadmapping, standards and principles.

SOA Adoption and Design

Responsible to define the corporation’s SOA Roadmap.  Worked very closely with the VP of Applications for Unisys and assisted in gathering requirements for the features and functions of the SOA methodology we were to use.  The IBM SOMA Methodology was chosen, but many diverse methodologies could have fit if a switch was needed at sometime in the future.  The SOA roadmap included items such as: Assessing Skills, Business Incentives, Org. Structure, Governance, Roles and Responsibilities, SOAD (Service Oriented Architecture Design) Methodology.

Acted in a consulting role to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a clustered SQL and MSMQ infrastructure.Both the SQL and MSMQ clusters had to be reinstalled and the overall cluster architecture had to be redesigned to enable better throughput to achieve the requirements of the client.

RFID Infrastructure

I was tasked with the review of the current Disaster Recovery plan for WVMMIS.I evaluated the current documented procedures and identified the weaknesses.I made and documented my recommendations to resolve the identified issues.

Centralized Active Directory Design

My expertise as an MCSE in Active Directory design was tapped to create a centralized design model for the HIM practice to enable the central administration of the entire MMIS multi-state implementation.I designed a Federated Forest infrastructure that enabled the centralized administration along with the delegation of administrative tasks to others when needed.

Illinois Tollway

Designed and implemented the hardware infrastructure for the pilot program for the Internet based purchase of I-Pass transceivers for the Illinois Tollway.Achieved over 3 million dollars in sales via the pilot.
