An orthopedic physician with more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Thomas Golden holds certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Golden belongs to several professional organizations, including the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the Southern Orthopaedic Association, the California Orthopaedic Association, the California Medical Association, and the Ventura County Medical Association. Furthermore, Dr. Thomas Golden was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.Currently heading Ocean Orthopedic Surgery in Ventura, California, Dr. Thomas Golden specializes in sports-related injuries, joint replacement, and arthroscopic surgery. He focuses on providing individualized client care with full diagnostic tests and a variety of treatment choices. Actively serving at the Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, Dr. Golden also maintains affiliations with St. John’s Regional Medical Center and Pleasant Valley Hospital. In January of 2013, he will begin a two-year term as Chief of Medical Staff for the Community Memorial Health System.Previously, Dr. Thomas Golden practiced medicine with various clinics in California and served in numerous positions for health care institutions such as the Ventura County Medical Center, Valley Care IPA, and Santa Paula Memorial Hospital. In addition to his positions in medical institutions, Dr. Golden served as a medical consultant to the LA Marathon Roadrunner Training Program and has taught courses on topics related to orthopedic and arthroscopic medicine.Dr. Thomas Golden studied Engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland and Molecular Biology at the University of California, San Diego, going on to earn his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Golden completed his internship in a family practice at UCLA Harbor General Hospital in California, followed by his residency, and the San Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Program.
