A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Susan R. Cero seeks to help her patients overcome sports-related injuries, arthritis, and other conditions to resume their favorite activities and regain control of their lives. Although Dr. Cero often performs many of the same procedures, with a specialization in knee, ACL, and shoulder surgeries, she maintains that each procedure is as unique as each client. Dr. Cero takes great care to address her patients’ questions and provide them with information on their treatment options, procedures, and post-surgery care, thus empowering clients to make the best decisions for their own lives. Holding a medical degree from Hahnemann University Hospital, an affiliate of Drexel University, in Pennsylvania, Dr. Susan R. Cero has worked with patients in the Renton, Washington, area since 1993. She now serves as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Proliance Surgeons, Inc., P.S., a role she accepted in 2011, as well as President of Valley Orthopedic Associates, a division of Proliance Surgeons. Through her participation in a number of professional associations, Dr. Cero stays closely connected to the medical community and the latest developments in her field. She maintains membership in of the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society, the Washington State Medical Association, the Washington State Orthopaedic Association, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Susan R. Cero is also a former Member of the Executive Committee at Valley Medical Center in Renton. In her free time, Dr. Susan R. Cero enjoys an active lifestyle and counts biking and skiing among her hobbies. She also loves gardening, cooking, and reading. When not at work, engaged in her favorite activities, or spending time with her family, Dr. Cero gives her time to the Mercer Island Emergency Preparedness Team. She also supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Washington State Child Care Resource and Referral Network, and National Charity League, through which she often volunteers with her daughter.
