Adler received his M.D. in 1995 from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He then relocated to New York City, where he completed a one-year internship in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center, an award-winning hospital in the borough of Brooklyn. After completing his internship, he went to Ohio, where he undertook his residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. At the end of his three-year residency, Roger T. Adler, M.D., traveled to Georgia, completing a medical and surgical retina care fellowship at Eye Consultants of Atlanta.Now one of his practice’s only retina specialists, Roger T. Adler, M.D., provides comprehensive care for disorders of the retina, vitreous, and macula. In addition to conducting surgical procedures, he performs injections of vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors, a treatment applied to such retinal pathologies as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and retinal vein occlusion.To remain apprised of developments in his field, Dr. Adler maintains membership in a number of professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American College of Eye Surgeons, and American Society of Retina Specialists.
