At his private dental practice, Dr. Richard Petrilli aims to provide patients with high quality, individualized dental services. Because Dr. Petrilli believes that dental health is central to a happy, fulfilling life, he has created a welcoming office environment complete with scented candles, relaxing music, and neck rests patients can use during procedures. Dr. Petrilli opted for this approach to dentistry after working for a group practice immediately following dental school. In that setting, Dr. Richard Petrilli treated so many patients he felt unable to interact with them on a personal level or engage them in their dental treatment.Today, he and his staff work to ensure that his patients receive the treatment they want and need for their dental issues. Dr. Richard Petrilli’s office provides comprehensive adult dental care, including cosmetic procedures and denture work. Outside the office, Dr. Petrilli enrolls in continuing education courses to stay current on the latest materials and procedures in the field of dentistry. This diligence has earned him accolades: in 2010, he was voted Best Dentist of Apopka, Florida, and his colleagues selected him as one of Orlando’s Top Dentists.Even before beginning his career as a dentist, Dr. Richard Petrilli began accumulating honors. While studying anthropology as an undergraduate at Rollins College, he won Honors in a Major Field, an Outstanding Academic Achievement in Anthropology award, a Health Sciences Achievement Award, and an Archibald Granville Bush Award in the Science Division. When he enrolled in the University of Florida School of Dentistry, Dr. Petrilli was elected president of his school’s chapter of the dental fraternity Psi Omega. In addition to maintaining his private practice, Dr. Richard Petrilli also volunteers his services at Dentistry from the Heart’s free dentistry programs.
