He performs orthopedic medical procedures as a part of Morristown, New Jersey’s Atlantic Spine Specialists.After graduating with honors from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton in June of 1990, Dr. Richard Nachwalter matriculated at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine to pursue his medical degree. Dr. Nachwalter spent the next ten years perfecting his skills and honing his knowledge as a surgeon. Later in July of 1994, he undertook a year-long internship and a four-year residency at the State University of New York Stony Brook campus. Dr. Nachwalter would then proceed to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he would complete a spine surgical fellowship concentrating on spinal trauma and reconstructive spinal surgery techniques.Dr. Richard Nachwalter’s professional history includes appointments at several prominent New Jersey hospitals including Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center and Saint Barnabas Medical Center in nearby Livingston. Dr. Nachwalter is fully licensed by the State of New Jersey and maintains active memberships in the North American Spine Society, The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, New Jersey Medical Society, and the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society.In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Richard Nachwalter is also an experienced medical writer, lecturer, and educator who has taught courses as a Thomas Jefferson University Fellow.
