Dr. Pamela Sherman practices oral surgery in Ellicott City, Maryland, where she resides with her husband of 38 years. As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Sherman treats patients suffering from a wide variety of oral and maxillofacial ailments in the head, neck, jaws, and face. With over two decades of proven success, Dr. Pamela Sherman inserts dental implants, performs oral surgery, extracts teeth, and realigns jaws and bones after a facial trauma. People dealing with temporomandibular joint disorder can also visit her for surgical options. Furthermore, Dr. Sherman diagnoses and removes facial cysts and tumors. Dr. Pamela Sherman spent four years as a Resident at the University of Maryland Dental School to obtain board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She had previously devoted a year to a general dental practice residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, then known as Francis Scott Key Medical Center. Expanding her medical knowledge, Dr. Sherman assisted the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland, participating in clinical rotations involving plastic surgery, anesthesiology, cardiology, and several other areas of medicine. Additionally during this time, Dr. Pamela Sherman belonged to the U.S. Army Institute of Dental Research at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Greater Dundalk Medical Center as a Clinical Research Associate and General Dentist, respectively. Dr. Pamela Sherman earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Science from the University of South Florida and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Appreciative of the importance of education, Dr. Sherman founded and still contributes to the Vincent Hillen Memorial Scholarship.
