About Dr. Michael C. Reed

Michael C. Reed, MD, is one of the founding members of Associated Psychiatrists of Nashville. He offers psychiatric assessments and care using in-depth evaluations, lab analysis, and nutritional assays to craft a psychotherapy plan tailored to individual needs. As a medical doctor, he is able to offer medication, unlike many therapists who can only provide psychotherapy. Michael C. Reed, MD, uses cutting edge knowledge to treat and assess patients. He is experienced with many psychiatric illnesses, from depression and anxiety to insomnia, and he has more than 60,000 hours of clinical experience.

A native of Tennessee, Michael C. Reed, MD, attended the University of Tennessee, completing his undergraduate studies magna cum laude. He went on to study medicine at the James Quillen College of Medicine, where he was a charter member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. A certified Diplomate in the psychiatry specialty, Dr. Reed completed his residency in psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
