For Michael Manginelli, D.C., treating a patient is much more than treating his or her symptoms; rather, it is a holistic approach emphasizing the importance of mental health and physical health, which is why Dr. Manginelli, in addition to being a skilled Chiropractic Specialist, is also active in a variety of organizations dedicated to mental health counseling. Specifically, Dr. Michael Manginelli is a longstanding and well-respected member of the American Psychotherapy Association.

The organization, which comprises nearly 5,000 members, is dedicated to advancing the science of Psychotherapy and its practice. As a Board-Certified Professional Counselor, Dr. Michael Manginelli has been a Diplomate of the American Psychotherapy Association for years. Recently, Dr. Manginelli was awarded Fellow status in the organization, an important step in his continued goal of becoming an even more well-rounded and skilled medical professional. In addition to his Fellowship in the American Psychotherapy Association, Dr. Michael Manginelli also recently became a Certified Minister through the non-denominational Universal Life Church. Dr. Manginelli hopes to use his training as a Minister to further his ability as a Counselor and, ultimately, to become a Police Chaplain. Dr. Manginelli has also recently received level one and level two certification in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which he plans to utilize in the near future.

When Dr. Michael Manginelli does become a Police Chaplain, it will be the latest in a long line of service he has provided to help the law enforcement community. Utilizing his unique combination of chiropractic and counseling training, Dr. Manginelli has developed fitness programs for Police Academy Recruits, served as a Mayor-appointed Police Physician, and counseled the families of Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, and Emergency Service Workers who have died in service of their community. Currently, Dr. Michael Manginelli is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, serving in the Police Physicians Section, as well as a member of the International SWAT Tactical EMS Association. Dr. Manginelli is also widely involved with Forensic Medicine as a member of the American Board of Forensic Examiners and Counselors.

Constantly expanding his skill set, Dr. Manginelli has recently begun research into light therapy under the direction of Ms. Barbara Cook. Additionally, Dr. Manginelli has also trained with the THOR Cold Laser, a new treatment method that has substantial promise for regular clinical use.
