About Dr Marta Dahiya

Colombia native Dr. Marta Dahiya currently serves as a radiation oncologist with John Peter Smith Center for Cancer Care in Ft. Worth, Texas, where she leverages a decade of clinical experience to treat cancer patients with radiation therapy. In a prior role with Oncology San Antonio, Dr. Marta Dahiya treated patients with high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy and helped grow the facility’s gynecologic radiation oncology practice.

Dr. Dahiya earned her medical degree at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, where she ranked third in her class. She subsequently completed an internship in Colombian communities that lacked medical resources before immigrating to the United States to undertake further training.

As a research assistant with the University of Texas (UT) Health Science Center at San Antonio, she conducted research in infectious disease and later completed an internship and residency in internal medicine. She was also chief resident during a radiation oncology residency at UT.

A member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the Texas Medical Association, Dr. Marta Dahiya enjoys exercising and travelling in her free time.
