Dr. Lamont Tyler received his Bachelor of Science at Loyola University Chicago where he majored in biology. He then went on to Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Cook County Hospital. As Medical Director of Specialty Physician Services at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Dr. Lamont Tyler manages the acute care treatment for patients suffering from minor injuries and illnesses. The medical center is a recipient of an Outstanding Patient Experience Award for 2010, ranking in the top five percent for patient satisfaction. The hospital is 1 of only 338 nationwide to be recognized for its level of care. PromptCare provides patients with a convenient source of quality care when the patient’s personal physician is not available. PromptCare staff provide patients with services including x-rays, flu vaccinations, and treatment of non-emergent illnesses such as earaches and sore throats. Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois, Dr. Lamont Tyler is certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine, the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine, and the Illinois Academy of Family Medicine.
