Summary

Providing compassionate and effective patient care is the cornerstone of Dr. Joseph T. Hayes’ medical practice. The Medical Director of Hayes Pain Management Center in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Hayes specializes in the implementation of innovative pain relief and management procedures, as well as time-honored treatment methods such as Chinese acupuncture. Dr. Joseph T. Hayes treats each patient with dignity and respect. His goal is for patients to feel comfortable with a procedure before treatment begins, and he takes the time to answer any questions the patient may have. Dr. Hayes is frequently able to provide long-lasting solutions for chronic pain—typically defined as pain lasting for a period of three months or longer—when surgical procedures and other forms of therapy have proven unsuccessful. In many instances, the patient can attain pain relief without the need for drugs or invasive medical procedures. In addition to acupuncture, Dr. Hayes administers safe and effective procedures such as trigger point therapy, manual manipulation therapy, and ultrasound guided injection techniques. Dr. Joseph T. Hayes offers more than 30 years of experience in the study and treatment of pain management techniques. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in 1980. Before launching Hayes Pain Management Center in 2000, he served as a staff physician and physician coordinator, as well as in a number of medical director positions. Dr. Hayes earned his certification as an acupuncturist from the UCLA School of Medicine, Helms Institute of Medical Acupuncture.
