Dr. Joe Nutz is the President and owner of Sea Breeze Family Practice in Morehead City, North Carolina. Certified as a Family Practitioner with the American Board of Medical Specialties, Dr. Joe Nutz administers both inpatient and outpatient care at the facility with the assistance of two board-certified physician extenders. At the Sea Breeze Family practice website, Dr. Joe Nutz provides patients with an abundance of resources to help treat various conditions and make appointments quicker and easier. Patients can learn how to diagnose and treat an assortment of conditions with the self-care charts supplied on the website. Also included is a range of educational handouts and various forms and documents patients may need, including the New Patient Registration Form and the Medical Release Form. At nearby Carteret General Hospital, Dr. Joe Nutz chairs the Medical Review Committee and is the Chief of Quality and Safety. Dr. Joe Nutz currently acts as Physician Advisor for a local home health agency and the Carteret County Public School System. Dr. Joe Nutz holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Kentucky. In 1986, Dr. Joe Nutz pursued further studies in pharmacology and toxicology at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science (now the University of the Sciences) in Pennsylvania. He remained in Philadelphia to pursue his Doctor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University’s Jefferson Medical College. A few years after graduation, Dr. Joe Nutz moved south to North Carolina, subsequently opening Sea Breeze Family Practice in 1998. Since coming to Carteret County, Dr. Joe Nutz has continuously been involved with community activities and organizations. A previous member of the Rotary Club of Morehead City Noon, he currently serves on Board of Directors at the RBC Bank, formerly Centura Banks. While living in Newport, North Carolina, Dr. Joe Nutz directed the Somerset Homeowners Association as the President.
