After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Dr. Spencer attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Spencer received the Senior Student Award in Orthodontics and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in the top 10 percent of his class. He underwent postdoctoral training in his specialty and worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant, obtaining his Certificate in Periodontics from the Dental School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
