AboutDr Frederick Harrington

A graduate of the Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Frederick Harrington has received a number of honors for his academic and practical contributions to spinal surgery. At a meeting of the International Cartilage Repair Society, his scientific abstract received top marks from his fellow colleagues, and an essay he penned as a resident earned recognition from the American College of Surgeon’s Ohio chapter. In addition to these honors, Dr. Frederick Harrington holds a United States Patent for an innovative modular cervical spine plate and retractor system.

Dr. Frederick Harrington works as the director of spinal and endoscopic spine surgery at the University of New Mexico Health Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also has licenses to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Furthermore, he teaches resident students studying neurosurgery and supervises undergraduate students as they gather experience performing lab work. Dr. Harrington also teaches courses in surgery and mentors students on proposed researched projects related to neurosurgery and the spine.
