Founded the B.A. in Communication Arts & Sciences program and led during its quick rise to one of the most popular majors at our college. Program coordinating duties included: Scheduling for the major and the basic course; hiring and mentoring faculty for the basic course; budget; promotion of the major to prospective and current students; create and maintain relationships with the community and the program's advisory board; student advising; alumni relations; and community building among students in the program.

Interest

My interests include representations of gender in the media, women's rights rhetoric, social movement rhetoric, conflict management, and political rhetoric. I am also interested in excellence in academic advising and the coordination of degree programs.

Additional interests include reading, music, popular culture, political activism, soccer, football, drumming in Hamilton Celtic Pipes and Drums, travel, and our four-legged family members.
