Summary

Dr. Debra Ravasia, an urogynecologist and trained surgeon to the area of Spokane, is also known in the Pacific Northwest through her embrace of holistic and naturalistic medicine. Dr. Debra Ravasia graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with the Neurology Education Award and the Lindsay Medal for Obstetrics and Gynecology. Formerly appointed as Assistant Clinical Professor and Clinical Instructor at the University of North Dakota, Dr. Debra Ravasia is also author of numerous publications that have appeared in peer-reviewed journals like the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in both the United States and Canada, Dr. Debra Ravasia holds membership as a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Specializing in urogynecology and advanced pelvic laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Debra Ravasia provides patients with a wide-range of services for the issues women commonly grapple with, including contraception, bladder conditions, menopausal complications, and pelvic prolapse. But beyond just diagnosing and treating the problem, Dr. Debra Ravasia prefers to identify the causes of the problems that necessitated the visit in the first place andĀ advises women to maintain their post-treatment states and prevent future problems through a combination of low carb eating, stress management, physical fitness, medication adjustments and overall lifestyle changes. Dr. Debra Ravasia works with her patients to determine exactly how and why they feel as women, and modify the situation holistically to achieve a sense of wellness that goes beyond just confirming the absence of a disease. When not helping patients, Dr. Debra Ravasia enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She also enjoys humanitarian projects and recently returned from a mission working with Doctors without Borders at a maternity hospital in Afghanistan.
