Led all aspects of Information Technology including strategy, technology infrastructure, business applications and technology based product offerings.Managed a team of 65 professionals.

Hired to lead the technology merger of Relizon Canada, a $220M acquisition with unique custom written in-house business applications. Successfully amalgamated the I.T. infrastructures into one common platform, a single set of processes, and organizational structure, saving $15M in costs.

  • Led a complete evaluation of the Information Technology infrastructure, including networks, hardware, applications and staff, followed by the development and successful implementation of a rapid integration strategy (120 days) of physical plant operations.
  • Spearheaded the migration of over 6,000 Relizon customers and six production facilities to the Data Group systems, and developed a future strategy focused on packaged solutions.
  • Re-invented the company’s B2B store front with an updated user interface and new functionality to create, customize and proof all production for a total sales volume of $80M.
  • Led the development of new “electronic” products, a major shift to solutions beyond print, including invoice/statement archiving, electronic bill presentment through custom web-sites or consumer transparent web services.
  • Introduced Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP as a solution for IFRS compliance for fixed assets with a mirrored General Ledger to existing legacy systems, creating a framework to enable a phased approach to core financial systems replacement in 2011.
  • Led CICA 5970 certification for secure suppliers and PCI DSS compliance for both Merchant and Service provider designations.

Created the infrastructure to build and advance an I.T. strategy and centralize the business to provide more accountability during a period of unprecedented business growth (400%).Built credibility across the organization by demonstrating business impact related to technology.Managed a team of 50.

  • Strategically supported the 400% growth of the business by ramping up the I.T. capability to support the acquisition of large clients. Led continuous enhancements to the company’s technology capabilities resulting in an infrastructure of over 2,000 desktops and 1,000 ERP users.
  • Introduced JD Edwards OneWorld as the enterprise applications foundation for the organization and championed its roll-out across the company, eliminating eight different software packages and significantly expanding the company’s capabilities.
  • Championed business and technology across the organization by streamlining and automating operations in the procure-to-pay cycle, contract administration and centralized customer service management, which resulted in a 30% reduction in headcount.
  • Performed due diligence for the purchase of Nexacor (Bell Canada’s Real Estate division); and played the lead I.T. role during the acquisition and integration. Devised and executed an initiative to reemploy and in source the I.T. service staff from CGI realizing a nine month pay-back.
  • Consistently proved the value of I.T. to internal clients; developed a charge model to identify and reduce costs by providing management with a snapshot of the business and its related costs. Devised and introduced measurement benchmarks to add value to the business processes.
