President and principal practitioner here at NY Rehab, Dr. David H. Zelefsky has been practicing medicine in the five boroughs since 1987. He is board certified by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is a member of both the American Medical Association and the Richmond County Medical Society. Dr. Zelefsky has presented research on such varied topics as quadriparesis, burn injuries, hemiplegia, hypertonicity, and delivered lecture series' on stroke rehabilitation and pediatric rehabilitation at Staten Island University Hospital.

About Dr David Zelefsky

A member of the American Medical Association, David Zelefsky, MD, owns and manages NY Rehab Pain Management and Medical Services, P.C., which has locations in Astoria and Valley Stream, New York. Dr. David Zelefsky employs a staff of physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, and interventional specialists to provide an array of services to patients with acute and chronic physical pain.

Board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Zelefsky strives to educate patients on the frequent misconceptions about pain associated with a variety of conditions. By explaining the causes and processes of their pain, he seeks to help patients identify personalized treatment solutions, whether conservative or interventional. Among other treatments, his offices utilize multiple non-surgical approaches, such as spinal decompression and physical therapy and theraputic modalities to minimize pain.

Dr. David Zelefsky received his MD from Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and has practiced in New York City’s five boroughs since 1987.
