Manager, Multi-Format Activities

American Academy of Family Physicians

After just four years with the AAFP, I was promoted to a working manager and I shared the responsibility for multi-format (live, online, enduring, etc.) CME projects.  During this time I had one direct-report. Due to the position being eliminated, my title was changed to CME Project Strategist.

CME, Special Projects

American Academy of Family Physicians

Mainly, I looked at existing processes, documented current practices, and made recommendations to reduce the amount of time for product concept to implementation.  Based on those recommendations, I created streamlined processes and documentation for individual products and departments. I developed a "CME Dashboard" to report out monthly statistics and  I designed itemized budget templates that relate specifically to CME national live courses and grant funded projects.

Gary Bird, PhD / CME Learning Strategist at American Academy of Family Physicians

Giving Jennifer a recommendation is an easy task. She is an intelligent, detail orientated person, who thrives on responsibility in a high pressure environment-- equally when working individually or as part of a team. Jennifer is extremely flexible, she is adept at implementing and refining procedures, but also can quickly adapt to rapidly changing requests, sudden changes in process, and steep learning curves. All these qualities make Jennifer a highly valued, very dependable, member of our division, and a pleasure to work with.

Susanna Guzman / Director, Web Content and Publishing at CFA Institute

I worked with Jennifer on many projects @ the AAFP. Jennifer is a consummate project manager, focusing not just on the end goal, but on the process and the people needed to get there. Jennifer approaches and structures her projects logically and analytically, and keeps each piece on track through diligent attention to next steps and contingencies. She does all this with a positive and supportive energy that assures her partners that she's got it under control, even when surprises and changes in time, scope or money may otherwise cause problems with the schedule or deliverable. Finally, Jennifer is a skilled communicator, respecting everyone in the room, demonstrating that she values the relationship as much as the product.

Seeking the Right Culture Fit

I am a creative, energetic, and expressive individual living in a very beige and comfortable world. I'm ready for a change, I'm ready to champion a company who appreciates personal expression.

I'm looking for a specific culture, a creative, flexible culture which I could jump right in and use my honed project management skills on new, innovative, and exciting projects.

I crave to be near like-minded people, those who ask questions, not afraid but encouraged to take risks, and aren't hindered by corporate red-tape.
