  • Successfully prepared the Project Financial Status Report (PFSR) for the Bechtel GBU President, CFO and Management Information group
  • Created the financial model and estimate for the project's contract extension
  • Reviewed and approved over 300 Material Service Requests, Service Requests, and POs for ANGTI

Lead Project Controls Engineer responsible for the planning and cost of the Pre-Commissioning group on a $4.8B Aluminum Smelter in Canada.


  • Determined the schedule logic and durations for the turnover of 75 facilities, comprising 355 systems
  • Responsible for logic and updates of over 1,200 activities in the master construction P6 schedule
  • Tracked progress and determined manpower requirements by resource loading the schedule with over 200k hours and 60k tests
  • Improved testing efficiency by 15% (PF of 1.7 to 1.4) saving approximately 60k hours via Earned Value Management by developing the first Quantity and Unit Rate Report for Pre-Commissioning team

One of two planners responsible for the largest and most important area of the project, the Reduction area, on the largest aluminum smelter project in the world. This project won ENR's award of merit and was Bechtel's project of the year in 2013.


  • Facilitated the delivery of the project three weeks ahead of schedule and below cost for each of the four major milestones within the Reduction Area helping to earn Bechtel significant bonuses
  • Focused construction management on critical path issues in order to beat milestones by analyzing over 3, 000 activities in the Level 3 schedule
  • Oversaw civil, steel & gas treatment contractors with scope amounting to over $250M on a $3.8B project
