Douglas Paone, MD, currently serves as an internist practicing concierge medicine in Naples, Florida. Under the concierge system, patients pay an annual fee or retainer, which covers a doctor's services. Providing primary health care in his office and a tertiary hospital, Douglas Paone, MD, focuses on treating blood clots.
Prior to practicing in Florida, Dr. Paone worked at Kansas City Internal Medicine, PC, and in local hospitals in Kansas. In general, he was the first doctor that patients saw. He provided continuing care for patients moving through various hospital departments or other facilities. He also made referrals when necessary to specialists, or to tertiary care (from the hospital-only medical staff).
