Entrepreneur Doug Kantner currently owns and operates Kantner Group, Inc., a specialty food company he started nearly 15 years ago. Kantner, formerly of Group Lactalis, has a talent for stimulating business growth and development through fostering relationships with vendors and buyers to improve product distribution. Doug Kantner has been nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and has propelled Kantner Group into a position as one of the Hot 100 fastest-growing companies as named by Entrepreneur Magazine and Dun & Bradstreet.

Kantner opened the first manufacturing facility for Kantner Group in Wapakoneta, Ohio, and has since expanded to plants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as New Jersey. In addition to importing and distributing name brands like Chianti Cheese, Kantner Group produces dairy proteins such as rennet casein, whey proteins, and caseinates. Kantner Group provides U.S. vendors with competitive prices and exceptional service while expanding to distribution in the global market. In 2009, Doug Kantner accepted the position of CEO and Managing Partner of Expro Manufacturing Corporation, a provider of dry-ingredient mixes and contract packaging for clients in the food service, health and beauty, and sports nutrition industries. Kantner utilized his expertise in the food and nutrition industries to more than triple the company’s annual revenue in less than two years.

Doug Kantner was recently named President of Ame Nutritional Ingredients, a leader in nutritional ingredients. He maintains memberships with International Food Technologists and Rotary International. A dedicated philanthropist, Kantner supports the University of Pennsylvania football program, Wapakoneta Senior High Athletic Fund, and France Développement Togo-Bénin.
