Doug Dohring founded Age of Learning, Inc., in 2007 and has served as the company's CEO. Age of Learning helps young children become confident learners, fully prepared for academic success through its multi-award-winning ABCmouse.com Early Learning Academy website and apps, which Doug Dohring launched in 2010. Recognizing the need for the top experts in education, Doug Dohring established a curriculum board that includes a National Teacher of the Year and a founder of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, among other noted experts in early childhood education and educational publishing. Age of Learning makes the complete ABCmouse.com curriculum free for teachers, libraries, Head Start programs, and other community organizations through its Education Access Initiatives.

Doug Dohring and his Age of Learning team launched ABCmouse for Schools--a comprehensive new solution for schools, school districts, and school groups--in 2016, and was named a Best of Tech winner at ISTE 2016. Age of Learning is now widely recognized as one of the top education technology startups. NeoPets, Inc.

In February 2000, DougDohring formed NeoPets, Inc., which became one of the world’s most popular online sites for kids. Doug Dohring and his management team grew NeoPets to profitability within its first year, developing an infrastructure that scaled to serve more than five billion page views per month, registered more than 140 million accounts, and delivered content in 11 languages in dozens of countries around the world. At its height, neopets.com was the most popular online destination for kids in the world, with more time spent per user, page views per user, and total page views than the next top five youth sites combined. NeoPets was acquired by Viacom in 2005, at an acquisition price that was reported by the Wall Street Journal as $160 million. Doug Dohring and his core leadership team at NeoPets went on to form Age of Learning, Inc. a year later.

Doug Dohring founded market research firm The Dohring Company in 1986 and soon turned it into one of the country’s top providers of consumer surveys and competitive market research. The company primarily focused on the automotive industry, with additional clients in the entertainment, retail, and healthcare sectors. The Dohring Company was the 55th largest market research firm in America according to Advertising Age magazine in 1995 and ranked as one of the 100 fastest-growing private companies in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal that same year.
