-Designed, planned, and taught Surpassing the Visible: Abstraction and Spirituality to adults with a wide range of artistic levels.

-Emphasized research as an on-going process of discovery and growth, encouraging students to see research and inquiry as activities central to daily life.

-Taught students to conduct research and to analyze relevance of sources. -Worked with a diverse population of students, including international students and developed strategies for responding effectively to a wide range of artistic abilities.

This degree was driven by desire.  

It took eight years, two or three semester each year, of traveling 90 minutes in one direction to the school for classes and then a 90 minute return trip.

The final semester was dedicated to studying on campus with a total of 21 credits.
