    Expository Text Instruction

    Instruction in identification and use of the six common expository writing styles: descriptive, enumerative, sequence, cause/effect, problem/solution, and compare/contrast. This enables clients to understand factual writing.

    Narrative Development

    Analysis of how a student produces oral and written stories and therapy based on the student’s individual needs. This skill develops oral expression and comprehension.

    Expressive Language Development

    Instruction in vocabulary, grammar, sentence formulation, and word retrieval strategies.

    Phonological Awareness

    Treatment in phonological awareness, a vital skill for speech intelligibility and reading development.  

    Articulation

    Testing and therapy for students with moderate to severe expressive sound production disorders.
