I am looking for two different types of situationsFirst of all, I am looking for an accounting position. I would prefer contract or part time assignments. A full time position would be great in the right situation.Second, I am expanding my accounting practice and would like to take on a few more monthly accounting clients. I am Quick Books certified and very experienced with Microsoft Excel.
I have a unique blend of Controller level accounting experience combined with Real Estate sales and acquisitions. I am experienced in diverse accounting environments including real estate property management, non-profit and manufacturing companies.
I am a highly organized individual with excellent analytical and organization skills.Demonstrated ability to efficiently prioritize and oversee a broad range of responsibilities concurrently to consistently meet guidelines.
Professional Experience Summary
I have extensive experience in accounting and corporate financial management, having spent
over 16 years as Controller of several companies.
As a hands-on accountant, I have had total responsibility for and supervision of all accounting and cash flow management functions for separate divisions and entire companies. This included cash control, financial reporting, budgeting and all daily accounting activities such as: cash receipts, accounts payable, month end closings, journal entries and financial statements.
A couple of my achievements are:1. Totally redesigned accounting system and procedures for large property management company. This re-established tight accounting controls for up to 20 trust accounts managed by the company. 2. Created system to have month end accounting done and all financial statements to property owners by 5th of month enabling management to make current financial decisions.
Additionally, I have performed extensive financial evaluations of real estate investment properties.This requires analysis of rents, expenses, cash flow and operating statements.Also includes comparing operating results of a property to other properties and lender requirements in order to establish a market value conclusion.
