Director of Membership & Academics

- Create and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers, members and partners
- Act as liaison to member/customer committees, focus groups and task forces
- Develop and oversee professional meetings and events
- Oversee all recruitment efforts for new members including over 700 new members in 2015
- Manage retention efforts of 18,000+ members throughout Michigan
- Oversee customer service by membership department staff, ensuring the highest quality possible
- Analyze market data to enhance revenue and increase market penetration
- Development and ownership of association's membership strategic plan for the period 2015-2017
- Work together with the accounting department to analyze historical activity and to create annual budgets that are achievable and allow for success of the entire organization
- Present to groups of current and prospective members/customers with updates on the profession, the association and available opportunities
- Liaison to the Michigan Accountancy Foundation, 501c(3) scholarship fund
