Group Retail Innovation Executive

Partners with business unit and cross-functional leaders to identify opportunities, threats, and disruptive business models and devise responsive / mitigating and proactive plans given these threats. Builds a framework for developing strategies within the business units that can be replicated and sparks innovative thinking and acts as a thought partner to business unit heads and teams when devising strategies.
1. Lead ongoing cross-functional effort to define/develop and enhance corporate strategic direction and corporate prioritization
a. Facilitate the strategic planning process to establish company goals, define key strategies, & launch strategic initiatives
b. Continually assess corporate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and promote actionable proposals to address them
c. Identify new organizational capabilities necessary to sustain long-term competitive advantage and growth
d. Work with department heads to align their road maps with the Strategic Plan
2. Lead the implementation of Strategic Initiatives by providing strategic support on key decisions and facilitating cross-functional alignment
a. Lead transformation efforts to include changes in operating models, business strategies, complex systems and information.
3. Work closely with the SVP of Retail and COO to maintain a communications strategy to inform all executives on results from strategic initiatives as well as overall business performance.
a. Manages a portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives; maintains responsibility and leadership for development of framework and approach, deliverable s, timelines and management of stakeholder relationships and expectations.
